HVAC Services > Process Piping

Our installation crews are certified welders and are experienced with a wide range of process/piping systems. Over the years Mechanical Design Services, Inc. (MDS) has designed and installed process piping systems for a wide range of industries and applications, including hospitals, university laboratories and specialized manufacturing environments. Among the systems we install are the following:

  • Deionized water (for both piping distribution and complete D.I. water plants)
  • Compressed air
  • Argon gas
  • Nitrogen
  • Fused and welded pipe systems (for applicable processes)
  • Stainless steel
  • Oil distribution
  • Steam and condensate systems
  • Fume and laboratory hoods
  • Variable frequency drive systems (utilized in manufacturing assembly lines)
  • P.V.C. systems
  • Food processing systems

Piping: From Ordinary to Complex

We have experience in all types of process piping systems, from as simple as cooling water for a food processor to orbital welding piping for a defense contractor. We are also experienced with a range of piping materials, including ordinary carbon steel and iron to alloys of stainless steel.

When possible and to reduce client costs, MDS recommends installing process piping at the same time as other piping systems in a building project, such as the ductwork or chilled water pipes used in an HVAC system. In many cases a single rack system can serve to meet both piping requirements.
